An AI coworker is a teammate your team creates in Vybe. It has a name, an avatar and a role, follows standing instructions you write, remembers what it learns, and uses the tools you connect. You message it in Slack, email it, invite it to meetings, or chat with it in Vybe, and it does the work. A sales operations coworker might post a pipeline summary in #sales every Monday. A support coworker might triage new tickets as they arrive and draft replies. Each coworker is set up once and then works alongside your team.

What makes up a coworker

Where coworkers work

  • Slack. Each coworker gets its own Slack app, with its own name and avatar. Send it a direct message, or @mention it in a channel it has joined. See Slack.
  • Email. Each coworker gets its own email address. See Email.
  • Meetings. A coworker can join video calls, record them and keep the transcript. See Meetings.
  • Vybe. Every coworker has a Chats section in the web app. See Chat with a coworker.
  • LinkedIn and WhatsApp (Beta). A coworker can work through your own LinkedIn or WhatsApp account once you connect it and give the coworker access. See LinkedIn and WhatsApp.

What a coworker can do

What a coworker can actually use depends on its capabilities and the connections you give it access to. When a coworker uses a tool, you see it as a step in the conversation, such as “Searched the web” or “Sent email”.

The coworker page

Open a coworker from the sidebar or from the AI coworkers page. The top bar shows its avatar, name and role, a Search agent settings… box to jump straight to any setting, and a Slack button. The button reads Message in Slack once the coworker is in Slack, or Connect Slack / Finish Slack setup if it isn’t yet. The page is split into sections, listed under the coworker in the sidebar: Browser, Calendar, Email and Meetings & transcripts only appear while that capability is turned on. If you open one that’s turned off, you see “This capability is turned off.” with a button to its preferences.

Overview tabs

  • Information. Click the name, role or description to edit them. The description can be up to 500 characters. The Coworker actions menu (…) next to the name has Duplicate and Archive. The Recent activity card shows the coworker’s latest runs, with View activity for the full list. The Get in touch card shows its Slack status, its email address and Calendar & meetings.
  • Sharing. Who can talk to the coworker, who can manage it, and how it behaves in Slack. See Sharing and access.
  • Apps. Under Access to Apps, switch on the Vybe apps this coworker can work with. See Apps.
  • Capabilities. The model setting, AGENTS.md, and the tools the coworker may use. See Capabilities and Instructions.

The sidebar and pinning

  • New AI coworker at the top of the sidebar opens the create dialog. See Create a coworker.
  • Your coworkers are listed under AI coworkers. To keep the ones you use most at the top, hover a coworker and click the pin icon. Pinned coworkers move to a Pinned section. Pinning only changes your own sidebar.
  • Expand a coworker to see its sections. Drag a section to reorder them. Your order applies to every coworker, and only for you.
  • The AI coworkers page lists every coworker you can access, in Gallery view or Table view. Filter by Active, Created by me or Archived. Pinned coworkers appear at the top, and each card’s … menu has Pin, Duplicate and Archive.
